Nicky founded Calypso in 2004 when she happened to find herself in the right place at the right time. She has worked in the Greeting Card Industry since 1995 and before that was a Sales Rep for Penguin Books in France. Never one to do anything half-heartedly, when she is not working she loves windsurfing, dancing and travel.
Theresa has been with Calypso Cards almost from the beginning. She has had a hand in almost all areas of the company and now concentrates on managing inventory. When she's not in her corner office, you might find her in the corner of a wrestling ring!
Betsy Sarles, Calypso Cards' art director, is a graphic designer with a degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. She lives in Rhinebeck, New York, where she is partner, with her husband, in the Philidor Company. She has two children, Milo and Zelda, as well as large and small dogs and a backyard full of chickens. Her career has spanned design and production work in the fields of art and architecture, as well as in specialty books.
Erin Montanari joined the Calypso Cards team in 2015 when they moved to Providence Rhode Island. Starting off as an Order Entry Specialist, she has transitioned into a supporting role in the Sales Department. Although her previous work experience has been in customer service, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhode Island College, which comes in handy assisting in product development.
Emily joined Calypso Cards’ Accounts Receivable and Invoicing Department in January 2018 and is originally from Oxfordshire, England. Although her previous work has been in administration and social media, her degree is in Animal Biology and Conservation. Her interests include rugby, judo, scuba diving and travel.
Raquel leads our order entry department at Calypso Cards. In her previous work, she oversaw the day-to-day operations of an international design and manufacturing company. When she is not enjoying the southern shores of Rhode Island, she is Mom to two wonderful kids.
Erica Lewis is an Illustrator and Designer from southeastern, Massachusetts. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2018 and is excited to share her love for bright colors and intricate designs with the world. She loves music, Dunkin’ Donuts, and hanging out with her dog- an energetic 1 year old pomapoo named Bella.
